In Junior football last friday night the Green Tanks and White Wolves played a tight 42 all draw that was decided with a key PAT conversion by the Tanks as time expired.
The Yellow Jackets continued their undefeated run with a handy 48-28 win over the Blue Devils.
The Sutherland Seahawks won both the Colts and Division One games versus Wollongong on saturday. The victories make prospects for the playoffs vastly improved for each team, the Colts team continues as the only undefeated team in the competition.
4 first half touchdowns, each of them converted with 2 point PAT’s, were a great start for the Seahawks Colts team. The defence was giving up yardage but also recovered 3 fumbles in the first half. 5 forced fumbles in the game was a new club record.
The Colts offence is ahead of its 2014 record for yards per play of 8.9; currently it is averaging 9.98. Final score was 54-24 to the Seahawks.
In the Division One game. An early sack and fumble put the defence in a difficult position and early 6-0 hole. Coming back to score 4 consecutive touchdowns however quickly turned the outcome of the game. With 324 yards passing and a club record equalling 6 passing touchdowns the offense was able to play some of its best football of the season while defence kept the Mustangs total offence to under 100 yards.
Next week the Colts team will play UTS at Neptune Oval Revesby at 4.30pm whilst the Division One team will kick off at 6.30pm.
