Whilst the club’s Colts team had the week off, the 2015 Junior 5 man season began on friday night at Sutherland.
The teams have been practicing for the past 6 weeks, many new players playing in their first career games.
Coach Daniel Besz’s Blue Ankle Breakers were victorious 35-14 over the White Lions. Ryhs Downs scored 3 touchdowns for the Ankle Breakers, one of 2014’s returning players, QB Spencer Christlo hooking up with Downs on all 3 scores.

In the other game, the Golden Phoenix of Coach Mitchell Wiseman held out the Green Hurricanes in the second half after amassing all of their 28 points in the first half; 28-20 the final score. QB Maximus O’Shea started his season off with several passing touchdowns.
Games will continue each Friday through to the Championship game on December 18th. Next week the Ankle Breakers play the Hurricanes and the White Lions play the Golden Phoenix. Both games start at 6.40pm.
